Marshall's Surgery

Last Friday Marshall had his surgery to remove the cyst on his chest. He did so good considering he'd had no food since 6 am and nothing to drink since 10 am! The surgery was around 12:45 and only lasted 7 minutes. The cyst was larger underneath the skin than they anticipated, but the surgeon got clean margins and feels he got it all.

Poor baby did NOT wake up from the aneshetia very well (he had a tube down his throat during surgery). He was crying and jerking around, not even his lovey made him feel better! Kyle and I each tried holding him, but it didn't matter who...he was not happy. The doctor warned us that might happen since babies have a harder time waking up because they are disoriented. After about 30 minutes he was fine. They biopsied the cyst because that is protocol, but they aren't concerned that it is cancerous or anything. We go back for a follow up in a couple of weeks then we will be good to go!

How cute is he in his little hospital gown!
