Bad mom award...again

Yesterday was another rough day around here, so when Kyle got home from work he said he would put the twins to bed so I could go run errands (actually it was shopping hee hee). Later on before I went to bed, I went in their room to "say hi" to them, which means look at how cute they are when they are sleeping. :) When I walked in I noticed their room smelled funny, but I thought maybe it was the diaper genie. Last night around midnight Presley woke up crying, which is unusual in itself, but she cried for a semi-long time. I thought she might have a poopy diaper, soI got up to go in and check on her, but she stopped crying and went back to sleep so I went back to bed without going in their room (I usually stand outside the door before going in to see if they stop before I go in). Well this morning when I got them up, I smelled Presley's diaper and it smelled like their room! So I gave her her bottle while I changed her. Poor baby...her ENTIRE bottom was red because she had pooped (a lot) in her diaper and it had been in there all night and given her a diaper rash. It was so bad that she cried when I tried to wipe it off with a wipe! So I let her finish her bottle, then took her in the bathroom and used a warm, wet paper towel to clean off her bottom. She cried with that too! Plan B (or C, I guess) I put her in the sink to wash her off. It worked, and she still didn't like it, but tolerated it. This is the worst she has ever had, and it's my fault for being lazy for one, for not getting up sooner, and I should have trusted my gut and changed her diaper (even if it meant her waking up). I feel horrible and she is miserable...mommy fail!
