-that Marshall and Presley knew how to blow their own noses. I'm up to my ears in snot and every time I try to wipe their nose you'd think I was beating them with the screams they let out.
-that every time I changed their diaper they wouldn't scream like CPS needed to be called.
-that they wouldn't test their vocal chords to see how shrill and loud their voices can go.
-that they made "selective hearing" ear plugs so that I couldn't hear the screaming.
-that I was on the patio at Uncle Julio's with a big ole margarita in my hand...oh yeah and that it was 85 degrees!
Notice a pattern here? Well, all except #5 of course. We are in a screaming stage and it is driving me to drink...hence #5! Presley and Marshall can be on the floor, playing nicely with their OWN toys (rare) when all of a sudden a shriek so loud it pierces your ear drum will come out of their mouth. That shriek will then turn into a very odd, low sound that I don't have words to describe but I can't help but think their vocal chords are being damaged based on these lovely noises. :)
On the plus side, ever since my "imperfections" post, I've actually been cooking more. I looked at my "Five Ingredients or Less" from Cooking Light, which is pretty much the only cookbook I use because the recipes are easy, and I got necessary items at the grocery store. So we've been eating together as a couple more instead of every man for himself.

ReplyDeleteIt is The Pioneer Woman's Butter Chicken...SO GOOD. We didn't cilantro and I didn't have Cardamom, but we did the rest. YUM!

I am happy to say the screaming stage will stop....I am sad to tell you, it will return again and again. We are on round two right now, but I have seen my sisters' kids go thru many more. Your comment about cooking sparked an idea in me that we should all bring an easy dinner recipe to share next playgroup!
